Overview
Vdrak-aw Med was founded durring the early 14th century in fall of the year 1306, by Dyesëm Gegumer. The establishment of Vdrak-aw Med was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Dyesëm Gegumer struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Vdrak-aw Med as a prison colony.
Vdrak-aw Med was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Vdrak-aw Med is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Vdrak-aw Med is is constructed arround a series of spacious packed earth mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The city sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. The city's would-be-castle fortifications are visibly old, but also obviously maintained semi-regularly. Its likly the local malishia or garrison are tasked with ocasional mantance of the citys defences.
Right off the bat Vdrak-aw Med hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this city has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. This wealth has brought the city nothing but neurosis, if you can believe your eyes. Everyone acts as if you’re out to take a piece of them. Every door is locked and every window barred. Efforts are made to make you feel welcome, but only in the public areas of the city, particularly the market.

Vdrak-aw Med makes use of canals for some of its streets. Locals often fish in the canals.
